Elements of Art

Line : the path of a moving point, a mark, or hatch mark, made on a surface

Color : derived from reflected light, the sensation of color is aroused in the brain by response of eyes to different wavelengths. 

Shape: 2D ; area enclosed by an outline

Value : changes of a base color and includes light, medium, and dark areas determined by how much light a surface reflects or absorbs

Texture : the feel, appearance, or consistency of a surface or a substance, the tactile quality of the surface of a work of art

 

                                                       Form : 3D ; height width depth

Space : creation of visual perspective and the illusion of depth ; the distance around between, above, below and within an object or group of objects

History of Photography

2 Things I found interesting in the video are...

1. The French government didn't charge people to use the first camera because they thought of it as a new way of technology and that was a different eye opening to the world. I found it interesting because it was a brand new invention and it was going really well and I was suprised that people could use it freely without there being a cost.

2. I found interesting how there was a certain process to create a photo because if you just insert light , the picture wouldn't be fully processed. I found it interesting because there was such a process and it took a lot of times of failing and not getting it right, to fully figure out the process and make certain steps and that you had to use certain types of lights to process and make it a permanent photograph.

Selfie

Selfie: A selfie is a picture taken by yourself of you and/or other people or objects expressing what you're feeling and/or doing.
