Pumpkin Face

Formal Portraits

1. The balance of the lighting was the most effective because it made the pictures pop and look nice.

2. The balance of the rule of thirds was the least effective because it didn't make much of a difference with the pictures.

3.  I think image 4 was the most successful because the darkness and the lighting worked really good together and it was brightened well enough.

Answers:

  1. I used to be obsessed with celebrities and go to concerts like once a month. I would set up meet and greets, and it was just really fun to do all the time. It was also a really great stress reliever.
  2. I think we celebrate celebrities because they have a certain talent that we really enjoy.
  3. I don't think celebrities should tip off the media because the media has a way of twisting things around, and it could either go terribly or be good for them.
  4. I think the way magazines exploit celebrities don't make them look good and also hurt the celebrities in the long run and make them worse.
  5. I do agree with that statement because the people who are writing the gossip are the ones who like to gossip.
  6. A para-social relationship is when the relationship is one-sided.
  7. I don't think I engage in any para-social relationships.
  8. I think a constant connection to media creates a world where we create a fantasy and its not much of a reality and taking breaks even if they're super short gives you not much of a constant connection to the social media and gives you a chance to focus on the other aspects of life that isn't our phones.
  9. I think my personal brand reflects how I really am and who I want to be.
  10. I do monitor my personal brand closely because I work for Starbucks and it is very well-known so it would be easy for me to get fired if I showed myself in a way that was bad.
  11. I think there are some ethics that should be followed when taking photographs because it is important to really focus on what you're taking a picture of.
  12. I do agree with the statement " A picture is worth a 1,000 lies" because a picture could be taken of something that portrays something different for someone else each time. For example, someone could look so happy in a picture but really be super sad in reality.
